Deleted notes go to trash instead of being permanently removed. Changed your mind? Just restore them with one click. Trash automatically cleans up after 30 days.

Export & Import
Download all your notes as a JSON file for backup or transfer. Import notes from previous exports to sync across devices or restore from backup.

Keyboard Shortcuts
Save time with quick commands:
Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) to save notes
Ctrl+Shift+Backspace (Cmd+Shift+Backspace on Mac) to delete

🚀 How to Use

Taking a Note: Click the Notably icon in your toolbar, add a title (optional), write your note, add some tags if you like, and click Save.

Viewing All Notes: Click "All Notes" to see everything you've saved. Notes are organized by website domain with starred notes appearing at the top.

Searching: Use the search bar to find notes by title, content, or tags. Search works across all your notes instantly.

Starring: Click the star icon on any note to mark it as a favorite. Starred notes appear in a special section at the top.

Using Trash: When you delete a note, it moves to trash. Access trash from the All Notes view to restore or permanently delete notes.

Changing Themes: Click the colored circle in the top-right corner to open the theme picker and choose your favorite color.

Exporting Notes: In the All Notes view, click "Export All Notes" to download a JSON backup of everything.

Importing Notes: Click "Import Notes" and select a previously exported JSON file to restore or merge notes.

No data collection - We don't collect, track, or send any of your data anywhere
Local storage - All notes are stored directly in your browser
No tracking - Zero analytics, zero telemetry, zero tracking
Open source - The code is publicly available for anyone to review
Optional sync - Browser sync is encrypted by your browser, not by us

We only ask for the minimum permissions needed to function:
