GTS AI Study Assistant is an educational learning tool designed to help students understand course concepts and improve their problem-solving skills through guided practice on Canvas.

The extension provides AI-powered learning support that helps students break down complex questions and understand the underlying concepts. It's designed for practice quizzes and study sessions where AI assistance is explicitly permitted by the instructor. Students double-click on practice questions to receive educational hints or step-by-step explanations that reinforce learning.

The extension offers two learning modes:

• Provide Hints: Guides students through problem-solving by offering contextual clues that help them work through concepts independently
• Suggest Solutions: Provides detailed explanations so students can understand solution approaches and learn from worked examples

Students can set session durations (10-120 minutes) to manage focused study sessions. All AI assistance is clearly disclosed, encouraging students to verify information and use it as a learning supplement to deepen their understanding of course material.

This tool is intended for educational practice where AI assistance is authorized, helping students reinforce concepts and build mastery through guided learning.
