The Common Carp has a robust body covered in large, regular scales. Its mouth is notable for its four barbels, which it uses to sense food on the muddy river or lake bottom. Though not as colorful as its close relative, the Koi, the Common Carp is a powerful and impressive fish, often sought after by anglers for its size and strength.
