◆ IDN HOMOGRAPH ATTACKS
Attackers register domains using Unicode characters visually identical to Latin letters — uniswap.org spelled with a Cyrillic 'a' looks exactly like the real domain in your browser bar. SHIELD normalizes every domain string and runs similarity scoring to catch these invisible spoofs.
◆ HONEYPOT TOKEN DETECTION
Before you buy any token, SHIELD simulates a sell transaction against the contract bytecode without broadcasting it to the network. If the simulation reverts — because the contract has hidden whitelist modifiers, owner-controlled tax toggles, or dynamic revert conditions that trap buyers — you receive a CRITICAL alert before a single token is purchased.

The most common wallet drain vector in DeFi. When any contract requests unlimited spend authorization on your ERC-20 tokens, SHIELD intercepts the approval before your wallet signs, decodes the spender address and amount, and offers you the option to approve only the exact transaction amount required.

setApprovalForAll grants a contract unrestricted access to your entire NFT collection in a single call. This mechanism is behind the majority of NFT wallet drain events. SHIELD flags every setApprovalForAll request and evaluates the operator address before you confirm.

SHIELD analyzes on-chain signals for rugpull mechanics: liquidity lock expiry, admin key concentration, upgradeable proxy patterns without governance timelock, team wallet allocation above 30% with no vesting schedule, and deployer wallet history showing prior flagged token launches.
◆ MALICIOUS AIRDROP DETECTION
Unknown tokens appearing in your wallet with no prior transaction history are flagged automatically. These are typically drainer lures designed to redirect you to a phishing contract when you attempt to sell or claim them.

Attackers send zero-value dust transactions from vanity addresses matching the first and last characters of addresses in your history. SHIELD detects address similarity patterns and alerts you before any outbound transfer.

Every smart contract receives a composite AI risk score across eight independent threat vectors: source verification, sell simulation, liquidity lock status, admin key renouncement, deployer history, proxy upgrade pattern, team allocation, and cross-chain reputation.
