About

Chess Experiments is a casual extension that adds experimental features to chess platforms (currently chess.com, with plans for more). We also have our own chess platform at chessexperiments.com. It's mostly just for fun and to try out random ideas!

**🎯 What's Currently There:**

**🙈 Blindfold Mode**
- Hide the chess board if you want to practice visualization
- Toggle on/off during games
- Pretty useful for training your mental board representation

**🧪 Random Experimental Stuff**
- Basic move input (nothing fancy, just experimenting)
- Some game status indicators
- A coordinates toggle
- Whatever else we feel like trying

**🎙️ Future Maybe-Features**
- Voice input for moves (could be cool?)
- Other random chess-related experiments
- Who knows what we'll think of next
- It's all just experimental fun

**🎨 Beautiful Design**
- Sleek, modern interface that complements chess.com
- Subtle animations and smooth transitions
- Dark theme integration
- Minimal performance impact

**👥 Who Might Like This:**
- People who want to try blindfold chess
- Anyone curious about experimental chess tools
- Developers who like seeing random experiments
- Chess players who don't mind beta features

**🔒 Privacy & Stuff**
- Currently works on chess.com (expanding to other platforms soon)
- Also works on our own site: chessexperiments.com
- No data collection - it's just a fun side project
- Everything runs in your browser
- Open source because why not

**🚀 How to Use:**
1. Install it
2. Go to chess.com (or chessexperiments.com) and play a game
3. Look for the widget in the bottom-right
4. Try blindfold mode or whatever else is there
5. Let us know if anything breaks!

**💡 Why This Exists**
Honestly? We just thought it would be fun to experiment with chess platforms and see what kind of features we could add. We're building our own chess platform at chessexperiments.com too. No grand vision here - just trying stuff out and seeing what sticks.

Maybe it'll become something cool, maybe it won't. That's the fun of experiments!
