## Installation

1. Click on the "Add to Chrome" button to install the extension to your Chrome browser
2. The Upwork Helper extension should now appear in your extensions list

### Required Setup

1. After installation, the extension will automatically open the settings page
2. Enter your Google API key (required for generating content)
3. Fill out your professional profile information (required for personalizing cover letters)

## How to Use

1. Navigate to any Upwork job listing
2. Click on the Upwork Helper extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
3. Click the "Generate and Auto-Fill" button
4. The extension will automatically:
   - Generate a personalized cover letter
   - Fill the cover letter into the application form (if on apply page)
   - Fill your hourly rate (if set in profile and field is empty)
5. Review the generated content before submitting your proposal

## Technical Requirements

- Chrome browser (version 88 or later recommended)
- Valid Google API key with access to Gemini AI model
- Internet connection for API access

## Privacy & Security

- Your Google API key and profile information are stored locally in your browser's storage
- No data is sent to any servers other than Google's API for content generation
- Job data is only processed temporarily and not stored permanently

## Customization

- You can adjust settings like the Gemini model used in the extension options
- Your profile information can be updated at any time to reflect changes in your skills or experience

## Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues:

1. Make sure your Google API key is valid and has sufficient credits
2. Check that your profile information is complete
3. Try refreshing the Upwork job page
4. Disable and re-enable the extension
