About

Ever loaded a perfectly ordinary website and wished it felt a little more haunted? That's the whole idea here. Upside Down flips the page you're on into a colder, foggier version of itself, with spores drifting up the screen and the light gone slightly wrong. The page underneath keeps working. It just looks like it slipped somewhere darker.

Who it's for

- Horror and sci-fi fans who love that flipped, parallel-world look
- Streamers and video makers who want a moody backdrop for a screen share
- Night owls who'd rather read on something dim than a white glare
- Anyone who wants to quietly mess with a friend's browser
- Halloween setups, themed streams, and the whole month of October
- People who are just tired of plain white pages

How it works

- Click the Upside Down icon in your toolbar
- Hit the toggle to flip the current tab
- Drag the intensity slider for more fog and more spores, or less
- Click again to put everything back the way it was
- It only changes the tab you switch it on for, and it always starts off

Why you'll like it

- Nothing breaks. The effect floats on top and lets your clicks pass right through it, so links, buttons, and scrolling all keep working normally.
- Per-tab control. Flip one tab and leave the rest alone.
- Adjustable. Dial it from a faint chill to full murk.
- Quiet when it's off. The animation stops the moment you toggle it, so idle tabs don't cost you anything.
- Private by design. No account, no sign-up, and nothing leaves your machine. It doesn't even make a network call.

Real uses (some sillier than others)

- Set the mood for late-October browsing
- Give a stream or screen-share a spooky backdrop
- Read long articles at 2am on something easier on the eyes
- Take a screenshot of your favorite site in the other dimension and post it
- Surprise the friend who walked away without locking their laptop

It's a novelty, and it knows it. But there's something fun about opening a tab and watching the whole web go quiet and cold for a second, then snapping it back. Toggle it on, toggle it off, no harm done.

Mind the gate. And watch the spores.
