Tired of long voice messages you can't listen to right now? WhatsApp Voice Transcriber adds two buttons to every voice note on WhatsApp Web:

Transcribe — converts speech to text using OpenAI's latest transcription models.

Get to the point! — gives you a 1-3 sentence summary so you can skip the rambling and get straight to the message.

No playback required. Just click and read.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the extension and add your OpenAI API key in the settings page.
2. Open WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com).
3. Every voice message gets a "Transcribe" and "Get to the point!" button.
4. Click either button. The extension decrypts and sends the audio to OpenAI, then shows you the text right below the voice note.

PRIVACY FIRST
- Audio is sent to OpenAI only when YOU click a button. Nothing is auto-transcribed.
- Your API key stays in the extension — it is never injected into the WhatsApp Web page.
- No custom backend. No data collection. No analytics. The extension talks directly to OpenAI's API from your browser.
- Transcripts are cached locally so the same voice note is never billed twice.
