Mindlatch is a quiet library for what you save with intent.

The web is loud. Tabs pile up. Bookmarks go to die. Most "save it for later" tools become digital landfills you never revisit.

Mindlatch is different. It's a place where things you save earn their keep — and the things you stop caring about quietly fade.

WHAT IT DOES

• Latch — Save any page with one shortcut (Cmd+Shift+S). Add a note about why it matters.

• Highlight — Pull quotes from any article. Mindlatch keeps them with full source context, so you can find them again.

• Liberate — Close all your open tabs in one click (Cmd+Shift+L). Mindlatch saves them first, so nothing is lost.

• Import — Bring in bookmarks from Chrome, Pocket, Raindrop, or any CSV. Mindlatch deduplicates and tags everything automatically.

• Decide — A built-in decision log for the choices you're weighing. Capture the alternatives, the reasoning, the date — review later to see how your thinking evolved.

• Ask — Type a question across everything you've saved. Get answers with citations to the original source. Powered by Claude or GPT (your API key, your data).

• Forget — A weekly "Forgetting Digest" surfaces things you've stopped using. Decide what to keep, what to release. Anything trashed stays recoverable for 30 days.

PRIVACY

Your library lives on your device, in your browser's local storage. Mindlatch never sees your data. AI features use the API key you provide — requests go directly from your browser to Anthropic or OpenAI. No analytics, no tracking, no account required.

OPEN SOURCE PRO MODEL

Pro is honor-system. Any non-empty license key unlocks Pro features. We don't lock people out, throttle, or phone home. People who want to support the project pay; pirates wouldn't have paid anyway. It's the Pinboard model and it works.
