Verdant Browse helps you use less mobile data and stay inside your datacap without giving up normal web browsing.

Heavy pages, autoplaying videos, and hidden trackers can burn through gigabytes fast. Verdant Browse trims that waste by blocking ads and analytics, deferring offscreen images, and keeping media from playing until you choose to.

BROWSE LIGHTER
• Block ads & trackers — curated list of major ad and analytics domains
• Block autoplay — videos and audio wait until you click play
• Lazy-load images — images offscreen load only when you scroll to them
• Cap YouTube quality — optional 360p or 480p limit per video
• Cap generic video size — lower preload and display size on other sites

• Master toggle — turn everything off with one switch
• Skip specific sites — disable lighter browsing where you need full fidelity
• Custom block list — add extra domains to block
• Estimated stats — see approximate data trimmed today (based on blocked requests)

***To access controls, click on your extensions tab on the top right of the chrome toolbar. Click on the three horizontal dots next to Verdant Browse. Select options. Adjust settings from there.***

YOUTUBE
YouTube gets special handling so playback stays reliable. Quality can be capped once per video while paused, or you can apply it manually from the popup.

PRIVACY
Settings are stored locally in your browser. Optional sync uses Chrome’s built-in sync storage so preferences can follow you across signed-in devices. No account required to use the extension.

LIMITATIONS
• Savings are estimated, not exact byte counts
• DRM services (Netflix, Disney+, etc.) cannot be quality-limited by extensions
• YouTube quality depends on the site’s player and available resolutions
