About
You sit down to work. Three hours later your back hurts, your eyes are dry, and you can't remember the last time you stood up. Doggy Break fixes that. On your schedule, a sleepy dog walks onto your screen, settles in, and takes a nap. You can't close it. You can't skip it. You wait the full break, get up, stretch, and come back when the dog wakes up. That's the whole product. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Set how often you want a break (default: every 50 minutes). 2. Set how long the break should last (default: 5 minutes). 3. Keep working. When the timer hits, a dog appears. Get up. WHY IT WORKS: Most break-reminder apps fail because they're polite. A notification you can dismiss is a notification you'll dismiss. Doggy Break is different — the dog is on your screen until the timer runs out. You can't work around it. So you actually take the break. WHAT IT IS NOT: - Not a Pomodoro timer (no work/break alternation logic) - Not a wellness platform (no streaks, no metrics, no accounts) - Not a productivity coach (no notifications, no nagging) It's one thing: a dog that lays on your screen at a regular interval so you stop working. 100% LOCAL — ZERO DATA COLLECTION: - Nothing leaves your browser - No accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking, no analytics - The dog video is bundled with the extension; no network calls - Your settings are stored locally only PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED: - alarms — fires the break on your chosen interval - storage — saves your interval, break length, and skip preference locally - scripting / host permissions — injects the break overlay onto the active tab so the dog can fill the screen CUSTOMIZE IT: - Break interval: 25 / 45 / 50 / 60 / 90 / 120 min presets, or set a custom hr/min combo (5 min to 24 hr) - Break length: 1 to 20 minutes - Allow skip (off by default): turn on if you need a fire escape - Pause anytime from the popup Free forever.
