About
Wisdio AI is a browser side panel for turning webpages and videos into reusable knowledge. Use it to summarize articles, ask questions about the current page, extract subtitles from supported video platforms, and write Markdown notes without leaving your browser. With Obsidian Link, your Wisdio notes can be connected to a local Obsidian vault through Wisdio Companion, so browser research becomes part of your long-term knowledge base. Key features: - Ask AI about the webpage you are reading. - Summarize long articles, documents, and page context. - Extract and search subtitles from YouTube, Bilibili, and supported video pages. - Chat with video transcripts as context. - Create Markdown notes from reading and video insights. - Link notes to Obsidian Markdown files and keep them synced locally. - Bring your own AI provider API key, including supported providers such as DeepSeek, OpenRouter, SiliconFlow, iFlytek, and Volcengine. - Use the desktop side panel or the mobile extension UI in supported mobile browsers. Obsidian Link notes: - Obsidian sync requires the separate Wisdio Companion plugin running in Obsidian. - Wisdio communicates with Wisdio Companion through localhost. - Linked notes remain Markdown files in your local Obsidian vault. - If Obsidian Link is disabled, Wisdio continues to work with local browser notes. Privacy and control: - Your settings and API keys are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. - Page or video content is sent to your selected AI provider only when you ask Wisdio to analyze, summarize, translate, or chat with that content. - Obsidian Link uses a local connection to your own machine and does not require a cloud sync service. ## Screenshot captions 1. Ask Wisdio about any webpage and get context-aware summaries. 2. Chat with video content using extracted subtitles and AI context. 3. Link Markdown notes to your local Obsidian vault. 4. Use Wisdio on supported mobile browsers. 5. Bring your own AI provider API key and stay in control.
