Vault Capture Local is an independent local-first capture assistant for Obsidian workflows.

It helps you save selected web content into your local Obsidian Vault as structured Markdown through a companion app running on your computer.

Key features:
- Capture selected text with page title and source URL
- Preview content before saving
- Write Markdown directly into a local Vault folder
- Configure companion URL, Vault path, and target folder
- Minimal permissions: activeTab, scripting, storage
- No cloud sync, telemetry, or default AI processing

How it works:
1. Start the local companion app.
2. Configure your Vault path in the extension options.
3. Select text on a webpage.
4. Click the extension icon.
5. Save the captured content as a Markdown note in your Vault.

This extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by Obsidian. It requires the included local companion service to write files into your Vault.
