About

🛑 Stop getting lost in the endless scroll. Take back control of your time.

You know the feeling: You open Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter just to check "one thing." Suddenly, 45 minutes have passed, and you’re still scrolling.
Most site blockers are too aggressive—they ban the website for the entire day. But you don't want to block these sites completely; you just want to stop wasting hours on them.

Meet ScrollCap.

ScrollCap is the "Session Limiter" designed for the modern web. It doesn't ban websites; it creates healthy boundaries. It lets you visit your favorite sites, but ensures you get in and get out before the doomscrolling takes over. It is meant to create friction while training your brain to enjoy short breaks.

✨ HOW IT WORKS

1- Set a Rule: Tell ScrollCap which website triggers you (e.g., youtube.com) and how many minutes you want to spend there per visit (e.g., 10 minutes).
2- Browse Normally: Go ahead and watch that video or check that tweet. ScrollCap runs silently in the background.
3- The "Nudge": When your time is almost up, a full-screen warning counts down the final 5 seconds.
4- The Snap: Once the time hits zero, the tab automatically closes. Session over. You are free to go back to work.

🚀 KEY FEATURES

✅ Session-Based Limits
Unlike daily timers that block a site after 30 minutes until tomorrow, ScrollCap resets every time you visit. It trains your brain to enjoy short, focused breaks without falling into rabbit holes.

✅ The "Hard Stop" Warning
No subtle notifications that are easy to ignore. ScrollCap displays a clear, high-visibility 5-second countdown overlay on the webpage before closing the tab. It alerts you, so you aren't taken by surprise. However, there is no way back, the tab will be closed after those 5 seconds.

✅ Usage Statistics
Curious how much time you spend online? Check the Stats tab to see exactly how many times you hit your limit and how much total time you’ve spent on each domain.

✅ Multi-Language Support
ScrollCap speaks your language! Fully translated into:
🇺🇸 English
🇪🇸 Español
🇫🇷 Français
🇩🇪 Deutsch
🇯🇵 日本語
🇰🇷 한국어
🇨🇳 中文

✅ Beautiful Design
A clean, modern interface that fits right into your browser. Includes a built-in Dark Mode 🌙 and Light Mode ☀️ toggle to match your aesthetic.

🧠 PERFECT FOR...

- Students who need to focus on studying but use YouTube for tutorials.
- Remote Workers who take quick breaks but get distracted by social media.
- ADHD Minds that struggle with time blindness and need external cues to stop scrolling.
- Anyone trying to build healthier digital habits.
