About

I created Foqus for myself. I found myself mindlessly visiting social media and doomscrolling. I wasted hours. Sometimes to procrastinate and sometimes out of boredom. I created Foqus so that I can remind myself of who I really want to be: an avid reader, a learner, an artist. Foqus helps me pause and make an active choice about what to do next.
Based on your own choices of sites to avoid, Foqus displays a beautiful overlay which temporarily blocks you and forces you to choose the next move. Based on your choices of healthy alternatives, it offers you other sites to visit instead. All of your data is stored locally in your browser. It helps calculate your daily streak and can also be exported as a .json file.
