Miss articles from writers you love? PaperWeight fixes that. Follow any author or publication — Substack, Medium, Ghost, Beehiiv, WordPress, or any RSS feed. Hit "Get Latest" and PaperWeight fetches everything new from every source you follow, ranked by how relevant it is to you. The best articles surface first. Always. The more you read, like, and dislike — the sharper it gets. 📈 ✨ WHAT YOU GET 📰 Ranked feed — new posts from every author you follow, scored for you — not by publish time 👍 Taste profile — built from your likes, dislikes, and how deeply you read. Updates as you go. 🗂 Side panel — your full reading queue, open alongside any article you're reading 📧 Email digest — a personalised weekly summary delivered to your Gmail inbox (optional) 🏷️ AI tagging — smarter topic matching with your own API key — Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google (optional) HOW IT WORKS 1️⃣ Follow any author on any blog, newsletter, or publication that supports a web feed. 2️⃣ Like or dislike articles as you read them 3️⃣ Hit "Get Latest" — PaperWeight fetches all sources and ranks what matters most to you No algorithm selling your attention. PaperWeight learns what you love to read, then surfaces the best new posts from authors you follow — ranked by your taste, not publish time. Follow authors or pages → click 'Get Latest' → Get curated feed of their latest posts or email digest HOW IT WORKS Like or dislike any article as you read it. PaperWeight builds a taste profile from your signals: which authors you enjoy, which topics you return to, how deeply you read. No account. No sync. Everything stays in your browser. Follow any author on Substack, Medium, Ghost, Beehiiv, WordPress, or any RSS-enabled site. Hit "Get Latest" and PaperWeight fetches all your sources and ranks new articles — the most relevant ones appear first, regardless of publish time. SCORING Every article gets a relevance score based on author affinity and topic overlap with your taste profile. Recent articles score higher. PaperWeight also applies diversity enforcement so no single source dominates your queue, and suppresses topics you've recently disliked. Taste weights decay over 30 days, so your feed naturally shifts as your interests evolve. WHAT YOU GET • Taste profile — author and topic weights built from likes, dislikes, and read depth • Ranked feed — all your followed sources fetched and scored on demand • Side panel — open your reading queue alongside any article • Weekly digest — a personalised email covering your top articles and newsletters (optional) OPTIONAL: AI TAGGING Add an Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google AI API key in Settings to enable semantic topic tagging. Article titles and short snippets are sent to your chosen provider to generate topic tags. No personal data is included. Tagging is optional — PaperWeight works without it. OPTIONAL: EMAIL DIGEST PaperWeight can send you a weekly digest of your top articles and unread Gmail newsletters — with no PaperWeight servers involved. You deploy a small Google Apps Script (free, takes 4 minutes) to your own Google account. PaperWeight builds the digest locally and posts it to your script, which sends the email from your own Gmail to your own inbox. The digest includes: top scored articles, newsletters from your Gmail inbox grouped by sender, articles you read this week, and a highlights section from your followed authors. If you have an AI key configured, the digest opens with a personalised synthesis paragraph written by the AI. PRIVACY PaperWeight has no servers. All data — your taste profile, followed sources, reading history — is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. No analytics. No tracking. No account required. The only outbound requests are: • RSS feed URLs (to fetch articles from sources you follow) • Your chosen AI provider (optional — only article title and snippet, no personal data) • Your own Google Apps Script URL (optional — digest HTML you built locally) Full privacy policy: https://paperweight-eight.vercel.app/privacy
