About
YASE is a private workspace inside YouTube. It helps you search, tag, note, and organize your saved YouTube videos directly from the YouTube pages you already use. YASE is currently in beta. WHAT YASE DOES - Builds a local searchable index of your saved videos. - Lets you search saved videos by title, channel, tag, or note. - Adds tags so you can remember why you saved a video. - Adds notes for context, ideas, references, or follow-up. - Supports saved searches for recurring YouTube research workflows. - Adds lightweight tools on supported YouTube pages when they are useful. - Can optionally show dislike context through Return YouTube Dislike, only when you enable it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Your saved-video index stays in your browser. - Your playlists, tags, notes, and local index are not uploaded to a YASE server. - YASE indexes only the metadata needed for local search, tags, notes, and supported browser-side features. - No ads. - No hidden product analytics. - No selling user data. - Removing the extension or clearing browser data removes the local YASE state. YASE ACCOUNT You can sign in with Google to create a YASE account for sessions and device management. YASE uses only basic Google Sign-In scopes: openid, email, and profile. YASE does not request YouTube API access. It cannot read your YouTube account through the YouTube API, and it cannot access your watch history through Google OAuth. GOOD TO KNOW - Some features require a browser tab signed into YouTube. - YASE depends on supported YouTube pages and browser APIs, which may change over time. - This is a beta release, so compatibility and UI behavior may continue to improve. YASE is an independent browser extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or produced by Google LLC or YouTube. YouTube and Google are trademarks of Google LLC.
