About

Seed is a free, open-source browser extension that lets you generate realistic test data and inject it into web forms — entirely offline, with no data leaving your machine.

WHO IT'S FOR
Developers and QA engineers who are tired of typing placeholder values into forms during testing.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most form-filling extensions simply push text into inputs. Seed goes further — it fires the correct synthetic events so that React and Vue applications actually register the input, making it suitable for testing modern single-page apps.

KEY FEATURES
• Generate large datasets using hundreds of data formats powered by faker.js, and export them as JSON
• Inject data into any page input by CSS selector, element ID, or XPath
• Save and share form schemas with your team as JSON files
• Works fully offline — no accounts, no API calls, no telemetry
• Supports system light and dark mode
