About

Tearing down live web designs to extract their color palettes shouldn’t involve endless DevTools digging or clunky pixel-eyedropper tools.

Lumist Hue Extractor is a lightweight, on-demand utility designed for front-end developers, designers, and creators. With a single click, it scans the active tab's DOM, reads computed background colors, text colors, and SVG fills, and groups them by frequency to isolate the true brand colors.

From the popup, you can instantly bridge the extracted colors into your local Lumist Hue workspace. There, the app's HSL engine will map them to semantic UI roles (Primary, Accent, Background) and output a copy-pasteable Tailwind CSS v4 @theme configuration.

Key Features:

• Computed Style Scraping: Analyzes actual computed CSS background colors, typography colors, and vector fills.
• Frequency Sorting: Groups colors by element occurrence so you can see which colors truly dominate a design.
• Workspace Integration: Hands off extracted color lists to your sandboxed lumist.app workspace in a single click.
• On-Demand Activation: The extension only activates when you click it. It does not run background processes or monitor your browsing activity.
• Privacy-First: Zero data collection, zero telemetry, and zero third-party tracking. All processing is kept client-side.

How to Use:

1. Navigate to any website you want to analyze.
2. Click the Lumist Hue Extractor icon in your toolbar.
3. Review the extracted color palette and frequency list.
4. Click "Analyze in Lumist Hue" to load the palette directly into your local workspace.
