ewriter Extension brings the power of Rewriter.pro into your browser.
Select any text on a page, right–click, and instantly rewrite it with AI – without leaving your tab.

With the side panel, you can fine-tune your output, choose the tone, and adjust the length before copying the result back into your email, document, or chat.

How it works

Install the extension.

(Optional but recommended) Open the extension popup and enter your Rewriter API key.

On any page, select the text you want to improve.

Right-click and choose “Rewrite with Rewriter”.

A side panel opens where you can:

See the original text

Pick a mode (e.g. Standard / Fluent)

Choose to keep, shorten, or lengthen the text

Click Rewrite Text and copy the result with one button.

If you need more space or advanced options, you can jump to Rewriter.pro directly from the extension.

Privacy & data use

The extension only sends the text you select (or type into the panel) to Rewriter.pro in order to generate a rewritten version.

Your API key and preferences are stored locally in the extension storage.

We do not use your data for ads or sell it to third parties.

Permissions

This extension requests only the permissions needed to work:

contextMenus – to add a “Rewrite with Rewriter” option when you right-click selected text

activeTab – to access the current tab in order to read the selected text and show the side panel

storage – to save your API key and extension settings

Access to rewriter.pro – to send your text to our API and return the rewritten result
