About
II Context Bridge connects your browser to a companion desktop application running locally on your own computer.
When you trigger it, the extension reads the contents of your current browser tab — the visible page text, any code in the on-page editor, and (optionally) a screenshot of the tab — and sends that to the companion app over a local connection (127.0.0.1). This saves you from copying and pasting, or manually screenshotting, to get what's on a web page into the local app.
HOW TO USE
• Make sure the companion desktop app is running (it listens locally on your machine).
• Trigger a capture either from the desktop app, or with the keyboard shortcut (default Ctrl+Shift+Y), or by clicking the toolbar icon.
• The current tab's content is sent to the app on your computer. A small badge on the icon confirms it ("OK").
PRIVACY
• The extension sends data only to your own local machine (127.0.0.1). It does not transmit anything to any external, remote, or third-party server.
• It contains no remote code.
• It only reads a tab's content when you explicitly trigger a capture.
PERMISSIONS
• Host access to pages — the page you capture can be on any site, so the extension needs to be able to read the active tab's content when you trigger it.
• Screenshot of the active tab — to optionally include a visual of the page.
• Local connection (127.0.0.1) — to deliver the captured content to the companion app on your computer.
• Alarms — to keep the local connection alive and reconnect.Technical
