CheatGPT is a Chrome extension companion built for Canvas. It hides what you do during quizzes, answers your questions with AI, and saves correct answers so retakes take seconds.

WHAT IT DOES:

Ghost Mode — Canvas tracks tab switches, window focus, and page visibility during quizzes. Ghost Mode intercepts all of it. Your browser reports "visible" and "focused" no matter what you're actually doing. Split screen, second monitor, alt-tab, nothing gets flagged.

AI Answers — Select any text on a quiz question (or screenshot it) and get an answer with an explanation and confidence score. Works on multiple choice, true/false, short answer, fill-in-the-blank, and essay questions. Answers show up right next to the question. Powered by the latest AI models to ensure 99% accuracy of all answers.

One-Click Apply — When the AI returns an answer, click Apply and it fills the correct option or types the response directly into the answer field. No copy-paste.

Answer Save + Autofill — On quizzes with multiple attempts, CheatGPT saves your correct answers from each attempt. Next time you open the quiz, those answers autofill automatically. Green badges show which questions already have a saved correct answer.

Sidebar Chat — An AI powered chat panel that slides out on any page. Ask follow-up questions, get help with assignments, or paste in anything you need explained. Screenshot capture built in. Allows you to select from the latest models offered by a number of providers (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok). 

Selection Toolbar — Highlight any text on any webpage and a floating toolbar appears. Ask the AI about it, get a definition, or solve it without switching tabs.

Works everywhere — .instructure.com, .edu, .org, custom institution domains. Selection Toolbar and Sidebar Chat supported on all websites.
