About

TivySkip is a TV adblocker for any LIVE video streams playing broadcast IPTV in your browser. Perfect for sports, movies or regular TV shows on linear TV 📺 with commercials.

Now you never have to remember to unmute the adbreak.

It requires a constant broadcast logo present in the corner of the video for adblocking to work automatically but can also function in manual mode where you trigger adblocking via keyboard shortcuts if this logo is not present.

🚀 Advanced feature: Set a fallback Tab with some paused content to replace ads with any content of your choosing instead of waiting.

🎓 How to Use

- Navigate to a page where live broadcast TV is playing in a basic `<video/>` e.g. search bbc-america-east on tvpass (dot) org
- Click on the TivySkip button in the extension toolbar then click "Start Adblocking"
- Notice the video frames being edge traced in the viewbox and see how it automatically detects the broadcast logo of the video.
- Notice how accurately it redetects a logo match each few seconds, above 70% is enough
  1. if you start the stream during mid advert you can initiate a manual adblock blockout via the shield toggle button and wait until ad is over before auto calibrating again.
  2. Drag the mouse in the viewbox to manually highlight the exact base logo if not being easily detected
- Disable all Ad Skip settings if you just want simple live adblocking with muted blackout overlay
- When ads occur they will be blocked and skipped automatically (or you can trigger manually as stated above) - you can also easily revert false positives by clicking the overlay or notification

note: video played inside embedded iframe is less supported, try to right-click and load the target frame in a new tab with the true video to take full advantage of AdSkip.

AdSkip ON (default) - mutes and blackout applied as it moves the video cursor further along the timeline until content returns

AdSkip OFF - resorts to just muting the tab and blacking out the video while ads continue to play in the background.

⏩ AdSkip works intuitively, whenever there is some forward ahead video buffer cached up it skips over ads instead of just muting and blocking them waiting for them to end.

⏪ Rapid Rewind feature makes pausing before you start watching optional:

When you are caught up to live 🔴 and you run into an advert then Rapid Rewind kicks in, it skips 3 minutes back replaying content you just watched (now muted) so we can build up a buffer large enough to skip over ads quickly.

Now watching in picture-in-picture mode means you don't see pesky commercial visuals and doesn't require a fallback tab setup to play substitute content.

⏸️ Quick Pause feature unpauses for you after a while:

Combined with "Quick Pause After Advert" feature you can now regularly watch blocks of your show back-to-back uninterrupted by ads and never have to wait paused before watching at the start of your session or even lift a finger, just enjoy the content on offer.

😴 Sleep timer has also been added for comfortable late night viewing.
