Changelog
- Jun 15, 2026description
DartCam AI (Beta) DartCam AI is a browser extension for Autodarts that pairs with a mobile companion app to automatically detect dart positions and enter them directly into your Autodarts board. Please note that this is a beta release. While extension development is ongoing, the primary focus right now is refining the AI model and maximizing dart detection quality. 🔒 PRIVACY & DATA SECURITY Your privacy is fully protected. The connection between the browser extension and your phone companion app is entirely peer-to-peer (P2P). All dart detection happens locally, meaning no image data ever leaves your phone or is uploaded to any servers. ⚡ PERFORMANCE & COMPATIBILITY AI scoring has been successfully validated across a variety of mid-tier smartphones. For the best experience, use a browser that supports WebGPU, such as Chrome or Safari. ✅ FOR OPTIMAL DETECTION To get the most accurate scoring, ensure the following setup conditions: • Off-center camera angles: Position the camera at a dual angle (e.g., bottom-left or top-right). • Clear visibility: Dart tips must be clearly visible within the camera frame. • Good lighting: Ensure your dartboard area is well-lit. ⚠️ CURRENT LIMITATIONS Detection might currently struggle with: • Dartboards featuring non-standard color schemes. • Black dart tips landing in the black segments of the board. • Camera angles that are too steep or sharp. 🚀 WHAT'S COMING NEXT? The roadmap for upcoming extension updates includes: • Squashing remaining bugs. • Improving overall compatibility with Autodarts. • Adding a built-in camera angle guide for easier setup. • Enhancing multi-camera support.
