About

JSON Mate helps developers inspect JSON, JSONP, and JSONL responses directly in the browser. It detects JSON-like pages, renders the payload as an expandable tree, and keeps common inspection actions close to the selected value.

Core features:

- Automatic JSON page rendering for API responses and raw payload pages.
- Expandable tree viewer with paths, keys, values, links, image previews, type-aware editing, undo, and copy actions.
- Workspace panel for inspecting the selected node without losing the surrounding structure.
- Search by key/path or by value, with recent searches kept locally.
- Quick tools for URL encoding/decoding, single-line formatting, timestamp conversion, boolean toggles, and more.
- Standalone Toolkit for Base64, Unicode, URL, HTML, case conversion, and related text transforms.
- Recent documents and Collections are stored locally so frequently used JSON endpoints are easy to reopen.
- Settings for language, rendering behavior, display mode, context menu integration, and anonymous telemetry.

Privacy notes:

JSON Mate processes JSON content locally in the browser. It does not send JSON payloads, page URLs, domains, search terms, JSON paths, or toolkit input/output to the telemetry endpoint. Anonymous telemetry is limited to coarse extension events such as install, update, daily active, viewer open, and toolkit open, plus app version, locale, browser family, OS family, and a random anonymous installation ID. Users can turn telemetry off in Settings.

No account, login, or external service credential is required.
