Fretwise is a complete, offline chord, scale and fretboard studio for guitar, ukulele and bass — no ads, no account, no subscription.

What you get:
• Chord finder — pick a root and type (or just type "F#m7") and see clear, readable diagrams with note names and several playable voicings up the neck. Fretwise builds shapes from music theory, so even unusual chords return real fingerings — no "chord not found".
• Scale & fretboard explorer — view any scale or mode across the whole neck with scale degrees, root highlighting and movable position boxes, plus the diatonic chords that belong to the key.
• Progression builder — tap the diatonic chords or load a preset (I–V–vi–IV, ii–V–I, 50s doo-wop, 12-bar blues and more), hear it played back, and save it.
• Songbook — keep chords, scales, progressions and free-text chord/lyric sheets; search, favorite, and back up to a JSON file.
• Reference — an interactive circle of fifths, chord & scale formula tables, and a tunings chart.

Hear everything through a built-in on-device synth. Guitar, ukulele and bass with alternate tunings, left-handed mode, sharps or flats, light or dark, a quick popup, a side panel for practicing beside a video, and a full-page Studio.

Private by design: your songbook and settings stay on your device. The only network request is a small display-only config (for the optional Support button) that sends no personal data. No tracking, no ads, no content scripts.
