About

Turn what you read into flashcards — without the AnkiConnect hassle, without an account, without your cards ever leaving your device.

Most "web to Anki" tools make you run Anki on the desktop, install the AnkiConnect add-on, edit a config file, and keep it all in sync. Cardwright skips the entire chain: highlight, capture, export a clean file, import in one click.

★ HIGHLIGHT → CARD
Select text on any page, open Cardwright, and it grabs your selection. Make a Basic card (front/back) or a Cloze card (click the words to hide them as blanks).

★ LOCAL DECKS
Organize cards into decks, all stored on your device. Each card remembers the page it came from.

★ STUDY BUILT-IN
A simple review mode (flip, then Again / Good) lets you study right in the popup — no setup.

★ EXPORT THAT JUST IMPORTS
One click exports a deck as an Anki-ready TSV (with the right header directives, so there's no fiddly field-mapping) or a generic CSV that Quizlet and spreadsheets accept. Cloze cards export as Anki's Cloze note type.

★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN
100% local. Cardwright reads a page only when you click, only to capture your highlight. There is no account, no server of ours, and your cards never leave your device.

For students and language learners who make flashcards while they read.

Note: Cardwright exports Anki-importable TSV/CSV files; it does not require or talk to the Anki desktop app. "Anki" and "Quizlet" are trademarks of their owners; Cardwright is an independent tool.
