About

FocusForge is a free, no signup, no account site blocker, focus mode, and pomodoro timer. Block distracting sites, run focused work sessions, and track your daily and weekly focus minutes, sessions, and streaks. Everything runs locally on your device.

Why FocusForge

Other site blockers paywall the features you actually need. Scheduled blocks, password lock, syncing, and pomodoro stats are usually behind a $7 to $12 monthly subscription. FocusForge ships a beautiful pomodoro timer, four preset block groups, an unlimited custom blocklist, and a focus dashboard with weekly charts and streaks, all free, with no watermark, no upsell, and no daily limit.

Three modes of focus
- Focus mode. One tap to block distracting sites instantly. Toggle on or off from the popup or with Alt plus Shift plus F.
- Pomodoro timer. 25 minute work sessions with 5 minute short breaks and 15 minute long breaks. Auto starts the next break when a session ends. Alt plus Shift plus P to start.
- Custom rules. Add any domain to your personal blocklist. Group blocks by Social, News, Shopping, and Video, or build your own list.

Dashboard with real focus data
- Today minutes, today sessions, week total, current streak
- Last 7 days bar chart
- Block group toggles and custom site editor in one place
- Configurable session length, break length, and long break interval
- All on this device, never synced, never uploaded

Beautiful by design
The dark studio interface uses Cormorant Garamond and DM Mono and a hand tuned gold and purple gradient palette. Every panel is keyboard friendly, every action has a one tap shortcut, and the popup, dashboard, and block page share a consistent luxury feel.

Built for deep work
FocusForge fits the workflow of writers, designers, engineers, students, founders, and anyone who needs uninterrupted focus blocks. The block page replaces distracting sites with a calm motivational quote and your today minutes count, so even your slips up become reminders to return to the task at hand.

What is included for free
- Unlimited focus sessions, no daily cap
- Four preset block groups, edit anytime
- Unlimited custom blocked sites
- Pomodoro with auto break and long break
- Daily focus stats and weekly chart
- Streak counter
- Desktop notifications
- Custom keyboard shortcuts (chrome://extensions/shortcuts)
- Watermark free, signup free, ad free
- Lifetime updates, no subscription

Privacy by design
FocusForge processes everything on your device. There is no upload, no cloud sync, no telemetry, no analytics, and no account. Your blocklist, settings, and stats stay in your browser. The only network requests the extension makes are the redirects it controls when you open a blocked site.

Permissions, plain English
- declarativeNetRequest. Required to redirect blocked sites to the FocusForge block page.
- alarms. Required to fire pomodoro and break events at the correct time.
- storage. Required to remember your blocklist, settings, and stats locally.
- notifications. Required to show desktop alerts on focus and break transitions.
- activeTab. Required so the popup can read the current tab host when you choose to block it.
- tabs. Required to open the dashboard tab and to redirect blocked tabs cleanly.

FocusForge does not request broad host permissions. The extension does not run any code on a page, it only redirects requests to your blocked hosts to the FocusForge block page.
