PromptFlow is a Chrome extension that brings AI-powered writing assistance to any text field on any website. Whether you are composing an email in Gmail, editing a document in Google Docs, writing a pull request on GitHub, posting on social media, or filling out a form — PromptFlow helps you write better, faster, and with less effort.

HOW IT WORKS

Click into any text input on any website. A small trigger button appears at the edge of the field. Click it to open the PromptFlow overlay, which shows your text along with a set of action buttons. Select an action — like Improve, Summarize, or any custom action you create — and the AI processes your text instantly. The result appears right there in the overlay. You can keep refining, or click the back arrow to return to the original input with your improved text.

You can work with selected text or the full content of the input. The overlay supports threaded conversation, so you can iterate on the same text through multiple revisions.

COMPATIBLE WITH ANY AI MODEL

PromptFlow works with any model that supports the OpenAI API format, including GPT-4, GPT-4o, GPT-3.5, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, and hundreds more. You bring your own API key from your preferred provider. The extension simply connects to the model you choose.

ACTIONS

PromptFlow comes with two built-in actions: Improve (polishes your writing for clarity and flow) and Summarize (condenses text to key points). You can also create unlimited custom actions for specific tasks — proofread, translate, change tone, expand, simplify, format as bullet points, fix grammar, and anything else you can describe in a prompt. Each action appears as a button in the overlay for one-click access.

DOMAIN MANAGEMENT

You control which websites PromptFlow activates on. Add any domain to your whitelist. Remove any domain at any time. The extension only appears on sites you choose.

PRIVACY

Your privacy is completely protected. PromptFlow does not collect, store, or transmit your data, chat history, or personal information. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. Your API key and configuration are stored locally in your browser and are never sent anywhere except directly to the AI provider you selected. We do not have access to your conversations or your API keys.
