**AI Image Detector** empowers you to instantly uncover whether an image you see online was created by Artificial Intelligence or a human photographer. 

As AI generators like Midjourney, DALL-E 3, and Stable Diffusion become increasingly hyper-realistic, it is harder than ever to trust your eyes. This extension acts as your digital magnifying glass, bringing transparency to the content you consume.

### ✨ Key Features:
*   **Instant Metadata Parsing**: Right-click any image to instantly scan its Exif, IPTC, and C2PA metadata. Detect hidden signatures left by major AI generators locally within your browser without sending your images to the cloud.

*   **Deep Scan Analysis**: For images stripped of metadata (like on social media), you can enable "Deep Scan with AI." Plug in your SightEngine or Hive Moderation API credentials to run a pixel-level machine learning analysis that determines the probability of AI generation.

*   **Auto-Scan Highlighting**: Toggle Auto-Scan on, and the extension will silently scan supported images as you scroll, dropping a subtle glowing badge on images definitively flagged as AI. 

*   **Detailed Breakdowns**: See exactly *why* an image was flagged. The extension breaks down the technical reasons, software signatures, and even identifies the specific AI model (e.g., Midjourney, Sora, Flux, DALL-E) if available.

*   **Camera Details**: If an image is real, the extension will attempt to show you the physical camera model and lens used to capture the moment.

Your privacy is our priority. By default, **all metadata scanning happens 100% locally on your device**. Images are not uploaded, logged, or saved by our extension. The only time an image leaves your browser is if you explicitly choose to configure and use the optional API-based "Deep Scan" feature, which sends the image directly to your configured provider (SightEngine or Hive Moderation) under their respective privacy policies.
