About

Eiktel Click to Call is a browser-integrated click-to-call extension for Eiktel Phone Systems customers. It detects phone numbers on any web page and lets you dial them instantly — without copy-pasting, without switching apps.

HOW IT WORKS

Once installed and configured, the extension scans web pages for phone numbers and makes them clickable. One click initiates a call through your preferred connection method. A floating "Numbers Found" panel shows all detected numbers on the current page, so you can dial without hunting for them.

KEY FEATURES

• Click-to-Call — click any detected phone number on any page to place a call instantly
• WebRTC Softphone — use your browser as a full SIP/WebRTC phone; no desk phone needed
• SIP / Deskphone support — route calls through your configured SIP endpoint or hardware phone
• Numbers Found Panel — floating, draggable panel listing all phone numbers detected on the page; toggle it on or off in settings
• URL Whitelist — define exactly which websites the extension activates on, or use "Activate on ALL Websites" to enable it everywhere
• Hover Mode — numbers highlight when you hover; in Always mode, they are permanently highlighted on whitelisted sites
• Credential Sync — enter your credentials once; SIP and WebRTC fields stay in sync automatically
• Compact Call Window — minimal popup for quick dialing when clicking the toolbar icon
• Configurable Options — full settings page for account credentials, call routing, and display preferences

SUPPORTED CALL TYPES

1. WebRTC Softphone (Chrome) — registers the browser directly to the Eiktel PBX over SIP/WebRTC. No hardware required.
2. SIP — routes the call request through the Eiktel C2C API service to your SIP endpoint.
3. Deskphone — initiates a click-to-dial via the Eiktel API to your registered desk phone.

SETUP

1. Install the extension.
2. Click the toolbar icon → "Configure options" (or right-click → Options).
3. Enter your Eiktel account credentials (username, domain, password).
4. Choose your preferred call type (WebRTC / SIP / Deskphone).
5. Add the websites where you want click-to-call to be active, or toggle "Activate on ALL Websites".
6. Save and start calling.

REQUIREMENTS

• An active Eiktel Phone Systems account with PBX access
• For WebRTC: a modern Chromium-based browser with microphone permission
• For SIP/Deskphone: valid SIP credentials provided by your Eiktel administrator

PRIVACY

This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers beyond the signaling required to place a call (your SIP credentials and the dialed number are sent to your own Eiktel PBX only). All configuration data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.
