Simple Transcript Capture

About

Extract transcripts from YouTube videos and other captioned pages. The extension reads the transcript that's already on the page (it doesn't record audio or run speech recognition):

- Click the extension icon (or press Alt+Shift+T) to open the side panel
- On YouTube, the extension fetches the video's existing captions and shows the full transcript
- On other pages, the extension scans the DOM for visible transcript blocks (lecture pages, podcast players, court transcripts, anything with on-page captions)
- Click Copy or Download. Plain text saves instantly to your Downloads folder.

Privacy first:

Works with:
YouTube videos with captions enabled, lecture pages, podcast player captions, court reporter transcripts, and any other page with visible transcript text.

Note: Requires that the source page have a transcript available. YouTube videos with captions disabled cannot be transcribed because there is no transcript to extract.
