    description
    Patch Panel

Patch Panel is a lightweight launcher for your homelab that lives as a thin bar on top of whatever page you're already viewing, so your self-hosted services are always one click away without taking over an entire tab.

    Why Patch Panel?

Most homelab dashboards like Homer, Dashy, and Heimdall are powerful, but they expect to own a full browser tab. Patch Panel keeps the part you actually use most the grid of service shortcuts and turns it into an always-available bar.

You get the flexibility of a YAML-driven dashboard without the tab overhead.

    How it works

    - Write a single YAML file describing your services and groups.
    - Upload it from the options page.
    - Your config is parsed locally and stored in your browser.
    - The bar appears on every page, with dropdown groups for nested services.

    Features

    - YAML config — easy to version, share, and diff. No click-heavy admin UI.
    - Groups and dropdowns — organize services however you like.
    - Display modes — show icons only, text only, or both.
    - Flexible positioning — pin the bar to the top, left, or right edge.
    - Auto-hide — keep it tucked away until you hover near the edge.
    - Custom icons — use any favicon URL or image.

    Privacy

Patch Panel is local-only. Your config never leaves your browser.

There are no accounts, no sync server, no analytics, and no tracking. The extension only reads from and writes to Chrome’s local storage.

    Who it’s for

Patch Panel is for homelab users who want fast access to their self-hosted services from any tab running.
