About

JP - Json Parser transforms unreadable JSON and YAML responses into a clean, interactive viewer - directly on the page. No popup. No copy-paste. Just open an API URL and read your data instantly.

PERFECT FOR
• REST API responses (JSON)
• YAML config files
• Plain-text JSON/YAML pages
• HTML pages with a single <pre> block

THREE VIEW MODES
• Tree - expandable/collapsible structure with type badges (string, number, boolean, null, object, array)
• Raw - original formatted text
• Chart - horizontal hierarchy diagram for exploring nested data

EXPLORE DATA FAST
• Search keys and values with live highlighting
• Click a row to select a path - breadcrumb shows your location
• Copy path, copy value, or copy entire document
• Expand / collapse all with one click
• Click a branch key to expand or collapse that node

BUILT-IN SETTINGS
Open the orange gear icon in the top-right corner to customize:
• Enable / disable the extension
• Dark or light theme
• Default view (Tree / Raw / Chart)
• Collapse level on page load
• Copy options (strip quotes, pretty or compact JSON)
• JSON / YAML / plain text / HTML detection toggles
• Chart node limits and truncation notice
• Site allowlist or blocklist
• Keyboard shortcuts (expand/collapse, focus search, copy path)
• Show or hide the value-count badge on the toolbar icon

TOOLBAR ICON
• Click the extension icon to enable or disable JP on all pages
• Orange badge shows the number of values detected on the current page

JP - Json Parser runs entirely in your browser. Your API data is never sent to any server. Settings are saved locally with Chrome sync.

Made for developers who live in API responses - readable JSON and YAML, right where you need it.
