About

keyring captures your login sessions (cookies and localStorage) from any website
and stores them locally on your computer. Your personal AI agents — built with
tools like Playwright, Puppeteer, or Claude — can then load this auth state and
act as you without needing to re-authenticate.

── How it works ──

1. Install the extension and run the companion native host (a small Python script).
2. Visit a site you're already logged into and click "Capture this site".
3. keyring saves your session to ~/.keyring/storage-state.json in Playwright-
   compatible format.
4. Your AI agent loads the file and browses the web as if it were you.

── Two capture modes ──

• Whitelist mode — you explicitly choose which sites to capture (default,
  recommended).
• Global mode — capture all sites automatically, with optional per-site
  exclusions.

── Privacy first ──

All captured data stays on your own machine. Nothing is transmitted to any
external server. The native host is open-source Python code you can inspect
before running.

── Who is this for? ──

Developers and power users who build or run personal AI agents and want them to
access authenticated web services without sharing passwords or managing tokens
manually.

⚠ Note: This extension is intended for capturing your own authentication state
for use with your own agents. Do not use it to capture sessions belonging to
other people.
