  Safety Intercept also scans incoming Gmail messages for social engineering patterns commonly found in scams, such as fake emergencies, payment requests from impersonators, and urgency tactics. If a user receives a scam email and attempts a payment within 24 hours, the extension flags the correlation as elevated risk.

  - Payment memos and flagged email content are sent to a secure relay for AI analysis using Anthropic Claude.
