Whether you are reading foreign-language articles, watching video subtitles, or browsing social media, you can simply select any text to quickly look it up across multiple trusted dictionary sources, making language learning easier and more efficient. 🔍 Instant lookup, seamlessly integrated Select text on any webpage to trigger a lookup instantly, with no need to copy and paste. An elegant floating icon and side panel design lets you look things up without interrupting your browsing experience. Supports a global keyboard shortcut to open the dictionary panel with one click. ClueLens is a browser extension designed for language learners, translators, and anyone who reads across multiple languages. You can look up words, phrases, or full sentences directly on web pages, or search from the popup and side panel for a faster, more flexible reading workflow. ClueLens currently integrates 18 sources in total, including 13 dictionaries, 4 translators, and 1 AI source. A single query can fetch results from multiple sources in parallel, making it easier to compare definitions, translations, and context without constantly switching between tabs. With ClueLens, you can: Fast lookup and translation Select text on any web page and search instantly. ClueLens supports three usage modes: inline panel, browser popup, and side panel, so you can choose the workflow that best fits your reading habits. Aggregated results from multiple sources Get results from a wide range of dictionary and translation sources. Automatic language detection ClueLens can detect the language of your input and query only the sources that match it, reducing irrelevant results. Supported detection languages currently include Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, and German. Useful for different lookup needs From basic definitions, pronunciation, and example sentences to slang, monolingual entries, multilingual lexical data, and encyclopedia-style content, ClueLens is suitable for everyday reading, language learning, terminology lookup, and context understanding. Pronunciation and text-to-speech Built-in text-to-speech support lets you hear pronunciation while you look up words. You can choose between the browser’s native speech engine and online voice services, with optional audio preload and autoplay. Vocabulary saving Save words to your personal vocabulary list for later review. You can search saved items, look them up again, and export them as JSON or CSV. Highly customizable Enable or disable sources, reorder result cards, set target languages for translation, customize theme colors, dark mode, and fonts, and shape the extension around your own workflow. Backup and restore Export your settings and vocabulary list as JSON so you can move your setup between devices or restore it after reinstalling your browser.
