Image Harvester is a lightweight, privacy-first Chrome extension that lets you find and download every image on any webpage in one click. including images that are hidden in CSS backgrounds or responsive picture sources that right-click save simply misses.

What it does

Open the popup on any page, hit Scan, and the extension builds a visual grid of every image it finds. From there you pick your format, set your quality, filter by minimum size, and download individually or all at once. Every file lands neatly in an ImageHarvester folder inside your 

Downloads.

Three image sources covered
Most image-saving tools only catch standard img tags. Image Harvester goes further, scanning CSS background-image properties used by hero sections, cards, and banners, as well as picture source elements used in responsive designs where the displayed image depends on screen size.

Format conversion built in

You are not limited to whatever format the website uses. The extension converts images directly in the browser using the OffscreenCanvas API — no server, no third-party service, nothing leaves your machine except the final file saved to disk.

Minimum size filter

Websites are full of tiny tracking pixels, spacer images, and icon sprites. The size filter lets you skip anything below 100, 200, or 400 pixels so your download folder only contains images you actually want.

Batch download

Select any combination of images from the grid and download them all in one go. A built-in 50-image safety cap and a staggered download queue prevent the browser from being overwhelmed.

Privacy and security

Image Harvester requests only two permissions activeTab and downloads both strictly necessary. It contacts no external servers, collects no analytics, stores no user data, and performs all image processing entirely on your device. The extension was built to MV3 standards with a strict Content Security Policy, full sender validation on all internal messages, and URL scheme filtering to ensure only legitimate http and https image URLs are ever processed.
