OmniDefender Browser Protection keeps you safe from malicious websites by checking every page you visit against a private list of over two million threat domains. Whenever you load a page, it extracts the root domain and verifies whether that domain is known to host phishing or malware. If a dangerous site is detected the extension halts navigation and shows a built-in warning page where you can choose to proceed or add the site to your own whitelist. Suspicious links inside webmail or any other page are highlighted inline with a clear banner explaining the risk. All threat lookups and whitelist storage happen locally on your computer so no data ever leaves your machine and your privacy is fully preserved. The lightweight in memory lookup engine handles millions of entries in under one tenth of a second and does not slow down your browser.
