Litos is a quiet usage meter for Claude that helps you understand how your messages affect your rate limits without leaving your conversation.
If you use Claude heavily, you know the feeling: you are deep in a project, the conversation is flowing, and suddenly you hit a limit with very little warning. Litos gives you a simple, low-distraction way to keep an eye on your Claude usage while you work.
Litos adds a small, minimal meter to claude.ai that shows your current usage windows, reset timers, and message-level cost information. It is designed to stay out of the way, so you can keep focusing on your chat instead of checking settings pages or guessing how much usage you have left.
What Litos does:
Shows live 5-hour and 7-day usage meters inside claude.ai
Displays reset countdowns so you know when your windows refresh
Adds a small cost badge to Claude responses after messages complete
Tracks conversation totals so you can see how much a chat has used
Includes a popup with model-by-model usage summaries
Warns subtly when you are approaching or exceeding a limit
Lets you drag the meter anywhere on the page
Why install Litos?

Privacy first:
Litos runs locally in your browser. It does not create an account, operate a server, collect analytics, sell data, or transmit your information anywhere outside of claude.ai. Message content is not read, stored, or transmitted. Your usage history is stored locally in Chrome extension storage so your stats can persist between visits.
Litos is intentionally minimal. No flashy overlays, no distracting animations, no extra dashboard you need to manage. Just the usage context you need, placed where you already work.
