About

⛏ Your browsing builds a world.

BlockCraft turns your everyday browsing into a cozy Minecraft-style idle game. A tiny garden lives in the corner of every page and it grows while you browse.

─────────────────────────────────────
🌱 HOW IT WORKS
─────────────────────────────────────

Every website you visit is classified into one of five categories, and each category grows its own unique Minecraft block in your garden:

🌱 Social media → Dirt block (Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Discord…)
🎬 Video → Obsidian block (YouTube, Twitch, Netflix…)
🛍 Shopping → Gold block (Amazon, Etsy, eBay…)
📰 News → Stone block (BBC, NYT, The Verge, Hacker News…)
💼 Work & Dev → Wood block (GitHub, Notion, Figma, Google Docs…)

Each block grows through 5 stages you'll see the sprite change as it matures. Once fully grown, the next block of that type automatically begins growing beside it, building a connected, ever-expanding garden.

Multiple tabs of different types can grow simultaneously switch to YouTube and your obsidian block ticks; switch to Reddit and your dirt block takes over. Each type grows independently on its own tab.

⛏ BREAKING BLOCKS
─────────────────────────────────────

Click a fully grown block to strike it. Cracks appear with each hit just like breaking blocks in Minecraft. It takes 5 hits to destroy a block and earn points. The satisfying crumble animation and particle burst make it genuinely fun to clear your garden.

─────────────────────────────────────

─────────────────────────────────────

• You don't need to watch it browse normally and check back to find new blocks waiting.
• Break blocks regularly to keep your garden growing space is limited to the 10×6 canvas grid.
• The grow bar at the bottom of the widget shows progress for your current page type.

🔒 PRIVACY
─────────────────────────────────────

BlockCraft is 100% local. It classifies pages by hostname only, stores your garden in chrome.storage.local, and never makes any external network requests. No analytics. No tracking. No accounts.

─────────────────────────────────────

Built for people who spend a lot of time in their browser and want something small, comfy, and satisfying to show for it.
