About
Stumpy helps you discover interesting websites with one click. Click the Stumpy toolbar button and the extension opens a recommended site from a growing collection of useful, surprising, creative, and entertaining pages across the web. It is built for people who miss the feeling of stumbling across the good parts of the internet without needing to search for something specific. After Stumpy opens a recommendation, a small feedback overlay appears on the page. You can mark the site as loved it, meh, or not for me. That feedback helps Stumpy learn what kinds of sites you tend to enjoy while still keeping recommendations varied and serendipitous. Stumpy does not require an account. There is no login, no profile setup, and no feed to manage. Just click the extension and explore. What Stumpy does: - Opens an interesting recommended website when you click the toolbar icon - Shows a small draggable feedback overlay on Stumpy-opened pages - Learns from simple feedback: loved it, meh, or not for me - Avoids repeatedly showing the same recommendation - Keeps recommendations varied so discovery does not become too narrow - Works without requiring an account What Stumpy is good for: - Finding useful tools, writing, projects, videos, experiments, and resources - Taking a short break without scrolling a social feed - Discovering sites outside your usual search patterns - Recreating the fun of old-school web discovery Privacy: Stumpy only records data needed to provide and improve recommendations. This includes a random Stumpy device identifier, Stumpy recommendation IDs, feedback events, overlay events, and coarse visit duration buckets. Stumpy does not collect your name, email address, passwords, payment information, personal messages, or page contents. Stumpy does not sell user data and does not use user data for advertising.
