About
WhatsApp Privacy Blur helps protect private conversations while using WhatsApp Web in shared spaces, offices, screen shares, or public places. It visually blurs sensitive WhatsApp Web content such as chat messages, message previews, media previews, media galleries, the text input area, profile pictures, and contact or group names. Users can enable or disable the protection, choose the blur intensity, and decide which WhatsApp Web areas should be protected. The extension works locally in the browser and includes a popup plus an in-page control panel for quick adjustments. Content can be temporarily revealed when needed, then blurred again automatically. The extension is designed for one purpose: adding a local privacy layer to WhatsApp Web. It does not send WhatsApp messages, contacts, media, browsing history, or personal information to any external server.
