  Turn your browser into a professional mastering studio. promasterKAI is a browser extension that intercepts, processes, and masters any audio or video playing on any tab — in real time, with zero latency overhead, and without ever leaving your browser. Whether you are a music producer checking mixes on online audio platforms, a podcast editor fine-tuning speech intelligibility, a content creator polishing voiceovers, or simply someone who wants their audio to sound louder, warmer, and more balanced — promasterKAI delivers tools that were previously locked behind dedicated desktop audio software.

  promasterKAI sits invisibly between your browser's audio output and your speakers, applying a complete professional signal processing chain to everything you hear. Activate it once with a single click, and every sound on the page flows through your custom EQ, compression, saturation, limiting, and stereo processing — all in real time via the Web Audio API.
   
  It also works as a fully offline audio workstation inside your browser. Drag and drop any audio file — WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, AAC — onto the File tab and the entire processing chain is applied as it plays back. Adjust every parameter, A/B test your settings, and export the processed result as a high-quality WAV file. No cloud upload. No account. No subscription. Everything runs locally on your device.

  • 4-Band EQ — LOW, MID, HIGH, and AIR bands with large sliders. Boost warmth, tame harsh mids, or add air to vocals with a single drag.
   
  • LUFS Loudness Meter — Real-time integrated loudness display with color-coded feedback against online platform targets (−14 LUFS / −1.0 dBTP standard).
   
  • Auto-Master — One-click mastering. Analyzes integrated LUFS, crest factor, phase correlation, and spectral balance simultaneously, then applies gain staging, soft-knee compression, surgical EQ, and true-peak limiting. Always verify with A/B.
   
  • Genre-Aware Auto-Correct — Select your genre (Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Electronic, Acoustic, and more) and the engine renders genre-specific correction cards with instrument paths. Two built-in DSP analysis cards — Transient Detection and LUFS Normalizer — give precise numerical feedback alongside qualitative suggestions.
   
  • File Import & Playback Speed Control — Load any local audio file and play it through the full processing chain. Adjust playback speed from 25% to 200% using the inline ⚡ speed control. Quick preset buttons (🐢 Turtle · 🐌 Snail · ▶ Normal · ⚡ Fast · 🚀 Rocket) jump to common rates instantly. Export the processed and speed-adjusted result as WAV — rendered offline at the exact speed using OfflineAudioContext for sample-accurate output.

  • 7-Band Parametric EQ — SUB (25 Hz) · BASS (90 Hz) · LO-MID (300 Hz) · MID (800 Hz) · HI-MID (2.5 kHz) · PRESENCE (8 kHz) · AIR (16 kHz). Correct filter types per band. Visual curve and bar-graph display. Click the spectrum canvas to read exact frequency and dB. Add extra parametric bands for surgical notch filtering.
   
  • Dynamics Compressor — Threshold, ratio, attack, release, and knee. BPM-synchronized release locks to detected tempo automatically.
   
  • 3-Band Multiband Compressor — Independent compression per frequency band with adjustable crossover points. Full threshold, ratio, attack, release, and knee per band.
   
  • Harmonic Saturation — Analog-style tube saturation. Adds even-order harmonics for warmth and perceived loudness without raising peak levels.
   
  • Harmonic Exciter — High-frequency harmonic enhancement with adjustable frequency threshold and amount. Adds presence and air by synthesizing new harmonic content rather than boosting existing frequencies.
   
  • Stereo Widener — Adjustable stereo width from mono (0%) through natural (100%) to super-wide (200%) using a mid/side matrix.
   
  • M/S Processor — Encode to mid and side, process each independently with separate gain controls, decode back to stereo. Essential for transparent, focused mastering.
   
  • True-Peak Limiter — Intersample peak protection with adjustable ceiling. 20:1 ratio, 1 ms attack, 50 ms release. ISP estimation via cubic interpolation.
   
  • Adaptive EQ — Automatic resonance notch detection. Analyzes spectrum every 2.5 seconds and places up to four narrow notch filters at detected resonance peaks (max −6 dB each). Transparent room correction with no audible tonal artifacts.
   
  • Auto-Trim — Intelligent input gain staging. Measures rolling RMS over 2.5 seconds and automatically adjusts input gain to a target level (default −18 dBFS). Useful for sources with inconsistent levels.
   
  • VU Overload Watcher — Monitors VU meters continuously. If signal stays in the red for more than two seconds, a quick-fix toast appears: −1 dB Output, −0.5 dBTP Limiter, or direct Trim Panel access.

  The File tab in Dojo Mode is a fully featured in-browser audio processing workstation. Drag any audio file onto the drop zone or browse locally. Every file displays a zoomable waveform canvas with draggable selection region, animated playhead, and timestamp ruler.
   
  • Playback Speed Control — Inline ⚡ speed control from 25% to 200%. Five quick-select presets plus a continuous slider. Speed label updates live.
   
  • Save Full — Export the entire processed file as WAV.
   
  • Save Selection — Export only the region between the trim handles.
   
  • Trim + Save — Keep the selection only, discard the rest, then export.
   
  • Save at Speed (⬇ Spd) — Export re-rendered at your chosen playback speed using OfflineAudioContext with AudioBufferSourceNode.playbackRate for sample-accurate rendering. The speed percentage is automatically included in the exported filename (e.g. mysong_75pct.wav).
   
  • Normalize — Normalize peak to −1 dBFS in one click.
   
  • Cut Selection — Remove the selected region, joining the surrounding audio non-destructively until saved.
   
  • Duplicate — Create a copy in memory for parallel comparison.
   
  • Section Presets — Place markers on the waveform, assign a different preset to each section. Render delivers a complete processed file where each section has independent EQ and compression.
   
  • Export Format — 16-bit PCM WAV (original sample rate preserved) or WebM.
