About

SHORT DESCRIPTION (132 chars max):
Read AI responses faster. Bionic reading for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & Kimi — bolds word beginnings so your eyes flow naturally.

---

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Lede applies bionic reading to AI chat responses — bolding the first few letters of each word so your brain recognizes words faster and your eyes flow through text without losing your place.

Built specifically for AI chat platforms:
• ChatGPT (chatgpt.com)
• Claude (claude.ai)
• Google Gemini (gemini.google.com)
• Kimi AI (kimi.com)

Works with streaming responses in real-time — no flickering, no lag.

Customizable to your preference:
• Fixation intensity — control how much of each word gets bolded (light, standard, strong)
• Bold weight — choose how heavy the bold appears (soft, standard, heavy)
• Fade unfocused text — dim the non-bolded portion for extra contrast
• Min word length — skip short words that don't need fixation points
• Per-site toggle — enable/disable on individual sites
• Keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Shift+B (Cmd+Shift+B on Mac) to toggle instantly

Why bionic reading helps:
Your eyes don't read every letter — they jump between fixation points. Bionic reading creates artificial fixation points by bolding word beginnings, reducing the mental effort needed to parse text. Many users with ADHD, dyslexia, or reading fatigue report it helps maintain focus on long AI responses.

Respects your content:
• Code blocks, inline code, and pre-formatted text are never modified
• User input areas are never touched
• Thinking/reasoning blocks on supported platforms are excluded
• Toggle off instantly to see original formatting

Privacy:
Lede stores only your settings (intensity, weight, etc.) using Chrome's built-in sync storage. No data is collected, no analytics, no external requests. Your conversations stay private.

Open to feedback — if you use an AI platform we don't support yet, let us know.
