About

Understand This Page is an AI side panel for Chrome that helps you understand the page you are already viewing.

Open it on a product page, job listing, article, research paper, GitHub page, YouTube video, Reddit thread, Google Maps place, email page, documentation page, news story, restaurant page, search results page, SaaS pricing page, lyrics page, or almost any other web page. Click “Understand this page” and get a structured answer shaped for that page type.

What it can help with:
- Products: should you buy it, what matters, what is missing
- Jobs: fit, requirements, red flags, salary signals, questions to ask
- Articles and news: key claims, evidence, timeline, uncertainty
- YouTube: transcript-aware summary when a transcript is available
- Reddit: consensus, disagreements, practical takeaways
- Google Maps: rating and review signals, practical details, and whether a place is worth considering
- Restaurants: what kind of place it is, what to order, dietary fit, logistics, and concerns
- GitHub: repositories, files, pull requests, and issues explained in context
- Documentation: implementation steps, parameters, examples, and gotchas
- Email: urgency, action required, and a suggested reply
- Search results: what the result set points toward and what to open next

The extension runs only after you take an action. It does not read every page automatically, does not create an account, does not sync browser history, and does not include extension analytics.

When you ask for an analysis, captured page context is sent through Finnzon’s AI proxy to OpenAI so the answer can be generated and plan limits can be enforced. Settings, cached non-email answers, optional profile fields, and billing email for subscription actions are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. Email pages are not persistently cached.

The free plan includes daily usage limits. Pro removes the daily limits under a generous fair-use policy and is managed through Stripe-hosted checkout and billing pages.
