Changelog
- May 17, 2026description
Jira Quick Access puts your self-hosted Jira (Server or Data Center) one click away — no tab switching, no waiting for Jira to load. WHAT IT DOES My Issues — see all tickets assigned to you, instantly filtered by status. Tap any status chip (In Progress, Code Review, Blocked, etc.) to narrow the list. Only statuses that actually have tickets appear, so the filter bar stays clean. Search — full-text search across all unresolved issues in your Jira. Press Enter and results appear in seconds. Logged Work — a donut chart of time you have logged today, this week, this month, or any custom date range. Click any entry to open the ticket directly. Watching — all issues you are watching, with an option to hide tickets already marked as Done. Notifications — a unified feed of everything that needs your attention: • Returned tickets — issues matching your custom JQL watch filter (e.g. tickets you sent for review that came back) • New assignments — tickets newly assigned to you since the last check • Mentions — comments where someone tagged you with [~yourname], auto-hidden once you have replied Each notification can be dismissed individually and will not reappear. BACKGROUND ALERTS The extension checks Jira silently every 5 minutes. When something changes you get a desktop notification — and the extension icon shows a live badge with the total count. Notification types (returned tickets, assignments, mentions) can each be turned on or off in Settings. Mention notifications include the author's name: "Jane Smith mentioned you in PROJ-42". ISSUE DETAILS WITHOUT OPENING JIRA Every issue row has an expand button that reveals a full detail panel inline — description, assignee, reporter, status, priority, time tracking bar (estimate vs logged), linked issues, labels and epic. No new tab required. AUTHENTICATION Connects using a Personal Access Token that you generate once in your Jira profile. The token is stored only in your local browser storage and is never sent anywhere except your own Jira instance. No passwords, no third-party servers. REQUIREMENTS • A self-hosted Jira Server or Data Center instance (not Jira Cloud) • A Personal Access Token (Jira → Profile → Personal Access Tokens) • Network access to your Jira instance (VPN if required by your organisation)Jira Quick Access puts your self-hosted Jira (Server or Data Center) one click away — no tab switching, no waiting for Jira to load. MY ISSUES All tickets assigned to you, filtered by status in one tap. Only statuses with actual tickets appear, so the filter bar stays clean. LOCAL TIME TRACKING Start a timer on any ticket directly from the popup. Timers run in the background, survive tab switches, and stack — pause one, start another. Each session saves notes, enforces a minimum of 1 minute, and auto-saves every 5 seconds. Full session history per ticket, with editable notes and the ability to delete individual sessions. SEARCH Full-text search across all unresolved Jira issues. Press Enter, results appear in seconds. LOGGED WORK A donut chart of time logged today, this week, this month, or any custom range. Click a slice to open the ticket. WATCHING & NOTIFICATIONS All issues you are watching, plus a unified notification feed: returned tickets (via custom JQL), new assignments, and comment mentions.
