    # TypeGG Goal Tracker

**Set goals for your typing on TypeGG and watch your progress update live, race by race.**

TypeGG Goal Tracker adds a lightweight, always-on goal widget to TypeGG (https://typegg.io/). Decide what you want to push on — more EXP, a higher PP rank, a faster rolling average, cleaner accuracy, more time on the keyboard — and the tracker keeps score for you in real time. No spreadsheets, no manual logging. Finish a race and your goals update instantly.

It's built for the way people actually grind: daily and weekly targets you can renew automatically, streaks to keep momentum, and a flexible layout so your goals sit exactly where you want them on screen.

    ---

    ## What you can track

The tracker follows six core TypeGG stats:

    - **EXP** — your experience points.
    - **PP** — your performance points (your skill rating).
    - **Races** — the number of races you complete.
    - **Quotes** — the number of quotes you've typed.
    - **Time** — total time spent typing.
    - **Chars** — total characters typed.

Around those six stats, the tracker gives you several different *kinds* of goal so you can frame your grind however makes sense to you.

    ---

    ## Goal modes

    ### Gain — "earn X more from here"
The simplest goal. The moment you create it, the tracker snapshots your current value and counts upward from there. *Gain 1,000 EXP. Run 50 more races. Type for one more hour.* Works with every stat.

    ### Target — "reach this total"
Aim at an absolute number instead of a delta. The tracker shows how far you are from the finish line and warns you if you pick a target you've already passed. *Reach 5,000 PP. Hit 100,000 total characters.* Available for EXP, PP, Races, Quotes, and Chars.

    ### Rank — "climb the leaderboard" (PP & EXP)
Target a specific leaderboard position. The tracker looks up the PP or EXP of whoever currently holds that rank and makes that your target — so you always know exactly how much you need to get there. There's also a **Next Rank** toggle that automatically aims at the next position above you and re-targets the new rank the moment you pass someone, so you can just keep climbing.

    ### Player — "catch up to a rival" (PP & EXP)
Pick another TypeGG user by name and race to match their PP or EXP. Perfect for friendly rivalries.

    ### Average — "hold a rolling average" (Races)
Instead of accumulating, this goal watches your **last N races** and tracks your average WPM, accuracy, or PP across that sliding window. You set the metric, the window size, and the target average. The card shows your current rolling average, your best (peak) average so far, and how full the window is. Great for proving consistency rather than one-off lucky runs. You can also require every race in the window to be on a **different quote**, so you can't pad the average by repeating one easy quote.

    ### Improvement — "get better, quote by quote" (Races)
This one measures growth. For every quote you race, it compares your result to your previous best (or your rolling average) on that exact quote, and adds up all the gains. *Accumulate 500 WPM of improvement across your personal bests.* You choose whether to measure WPM or PP, whether to track against your **best** (ratcheting your PBs) or your **rolling average** (raising your typical level), and whether first-ever attempts at a quote should count.

    ---

    ## Built for race goals

Race goals are where the tracker gets powerful.

    ### Filters
Limit a race goal to **All**, **Solo**, or **Quickplay** games, so a casual solo run doesn't count toward a competitive quickplay goal (and vice versa).

    ### Requirements
Attach conditions to a race goal so only your *good* races count. You can require minimums for:

    - **WPM**
    - **Accuracy**
    - **PP**
    - **Quote length**
    - **Quote difficulty**

Only races that clear *every* condition you set count toward the goal. Set "100+ WPM at 98%+ accuracy" and a sloppy warm-up race simply won't move the bar.

    ### Strict mode ⚡
For when you want to hold a standard, not just hit it sometimes. In strict mode, a single race that misses your requirements resets the goal to zero. *Complete 25 races in a row, all at 120+ WPM.*

    ### Unique-quote mode ✨
Each qualifying race has to be on a quote you haven't already counted this period. *Run 50 races on 50 different quotes* — no repeating one quote you've memorised.

    ### Max quotes
For Quotes goals, one tap fills in the total number of quotes available on TypeGG — **all**, **ranked only**, or **unranked only** — so you can set the ultimate completionist goal: type every quote in the game.

    ---

    ## Recurring goals, streaks & habits

Any goal can repeat **Daily**, **Weekly**, or **Monthly**. At the end of each period the goal resets and starts counting fresh — ideal for building a habit.

    - Choose exactly when each period resets: the hour for daily goals, the weekday and time for weekly, the day of the month and time for monthly (with a sensible fallback to the last day in shorter months).
    - A live **countdown** shows how long until the next reset.
    - Keep your momentum visible with a **🔥 streak** counter (how many periods in a row you've completed) — or switch it to show your **total** lifetime completions, or hide it entirely.
    - Changing your reset schedule never wipes the progress you've already made in the current period.

    ---

    ## A layout that works the way you do

The tracker starts as a single tidy widget in the corner, but it's fully rearrangeable:

    - **Drag to reorder** goals within a widget.
    - **Drag a goal out** to pop it into its own floating widget, positioned anywhere on screen.
    - **Stack goals together** by dropping one onto another widget.
    - Smooth animations make every rearrange feel natural, and your layout is remembered between sessions.

Each goal card shows a progress bar, your current-versus-target numbers, and a satisfying ✓ when you finish. Every qualifying race flashes a little **+X** so you see your progress land in real time — and in strict mode, a red **−X ⚡** makes a reset impossible to miss.

    ---

    ## Works seamlessly in the background

    - **Live updates.** The tracker detects when you finish a quote and refreshes your goals immediately.
    - **Multiple tabs, no problem.** Open TypeGG in several tabs and only one quietly handles the data fetching — the rest stay perfectly in sync, so you're never double-counting or hammering the server.
    - **No login.** It reads your existing TypeGG session, so there's nothing extra to sign into.

    ---

    ## Never lose your goals

Export everything — your goals, your widget layout, and your settings — to a single file, and import it later to restore. Moving to a new computer or browser takes seconds.

    ---

    ## Example goals you can set

    - **Type 50,000 EXP this week.** *(EXP · Gain · Weekly)*
    - **Reach 5,000 PP.** *(PP · Target)*
    - **Climb to rank #100.** *(PP · Rank)*
    - **Catch up to a friend's EXP.** *(EXP · Player)*
    - **Run 100 races today.** *(Races · Gain · Daily)*
    - **Complete 25 races at 120+ WPM and 98%+ accuracy — strict.** *(Races · Gain · Requirements · Strict ⚡)*
    - **Race 50 quickplay games on 50 different quotes.** *(Races · Quickplay · Unique ✨)*
    - **Type every ranked quote on TypeGG.** *(Quotes · Max ranked)*
    - **Hold a 130 WPM average over your last 25 races.** *(Races · Average)*
    - **Keep a 99% accuracy average across your last 50 races, all on unique quotes.** *(Races · Average · Unique ✨)*
    - **Gain 500 WPM of cumulative improvement across your personal bests.** *(Races · Improvement · Best)*
    - **Raise your average WPM by 250 over a rolling 10-race window.** *(Races · Improvement · Average)*
    - **Type for one hour every day.** *(Time · Daily)*
    - **Type one million characters.** *(Chars · Target)*
    - **Run 10 races on quotes longer than 300 characters at difficulty 5+.** *(Races · Gain · Length & Difficulty requirements)*
