🧠 WHAT IS MINDFLOW?

MindFlow is a Chrome extension that turns any AI conversation into a structured mind map and review notes — so you always know where you are, where you've been, and how every topic connects.

It lives in a resizable sidebar right next to your AI chat. No new tabs, no context switching. Chat on one side, see your map on the other.

• Markdown Export — Export or copy your mind map, notes, or both as clean Markdown — ready for Obsidian, Notion, Logseq, or any Markdown-oriented note-taking tool.

• Bring Your Own API Key — Connect your preferred AI provider to power the analysis. Your API key is stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.


📖 HOW TO USE

1. Open any our supported AI chat platform. If the sidebar doesn't appear right away, click the icon again — it may take a moment to load.
2. Click the MindFlow icon in your browser toolbar.
3. The sidebar opens next to your conversation.
4. Fill in the API Key you tend to use.
5. Click "Generate" to create a mind map and notes from your conversation.
6. Resize the sidebar, zoom in on branches, or switch between mind map and notes view.
7. When you're done, export as Markdown to save your learning path.

🔒 PRIVACY & DATA

MindFlow respects your privacy. Here's exactly what happens with your data:

- Your API key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. It is never transmitted to MindFlow servers.
- Conversation content is read only when you click "Generate." It is sent directly to your chosen AI provider for analysis — MindFlow does not operate any intermediary server.
- No conversation data is collected, stored, or shared by MindFlow.
- You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Permissions used:

- storage — Save your API key and preferences locally in your browser.
- activeTab — Read conversation content from the current AI chat page when you click the MindFlow icon.

Host permissions are used only to connect directly to your chosen AI provider for mind map generation.
