Outlook Power Tools
Email Templates & Quick Steps for New Outlook
- Apr 17, 2026description
Microsoft removed Quick Steps, email templates, and custom keyboard shortcuts when they switched to New Outlook. Outlook Power Tools brings them back — right inside your browser. Works on outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, and outlook.office365.com. WHAT YOU GET: Email Templates Save any email as a reusable template. Insert it into a new message with two clicks. Add subject lines, body text, and recipients. Create templates for support replies, onboarding emails, status updates — anything you type more than once. Quick Steps Combine multiple email actions into a single click. Mark as read + move to folder. Flag + forward to a teammate. Delete + mark as read. Set up your own action combos and run them from the toolbar or with a keyboard shortcut. Keyboard Shortcuts Record custom key combinations and bind them to any action: insert a template, trigger a quick step, archive, flag, or move emails to a specific folder. If New Outlook removed a shortcut you relied on, you can recreate it here. Attachment Reminder Mentions “attached” or “file” in your email but forgot to attach anything? The extension warns you before you hit Send. Supports English and Russian keywords out of the box. HOW IT WORKS: Install the extension Open New Outlook in your browser (outlook.live.com or outlook.office.com) Click the extension icon to manage your templates, quick steps, and shortcuts Use them directly in your inbox — no page reload needed FREE vs PRO: Free: 3 templates, 3 quick steps, 3 keyboard shortcuts, attachment reminder (always free) Pro: Unlimited templates, quick steps, and shortcuts. $3.99/month or $29.99/year. WHO THIS IS FOR: Anyone who switched to New Outlook and lost their Quick Steps or templates Customer support teams who send the same replies dozens of times a day Sales reps who need canned responses with pre-filled recipients and subjects Power users who rely on keyboard shortcuts for fast email management Professionals who want an attachment reminder to avoid embarrassing “forgot the file” moments PRIVACY: Your templates and shortcuts are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage). No data leaves your device unless you activate a Pro license. We do not read, store, or transmit your email content. Feedback & support: [email protected]
